In a series of post, we are publishing the must-read content of Tristan Dineen’s speech, at the Voter Suppression event in Guelph

“It pains me to say that the Robo-call scandal (CBC News Robocall ) we’re discussing here today was not an isolated incident but part of the general erosion of democratic freedoms that has been going on in this country for the past decade, and ensuring justice is done will require more than a simple change in government. It will require Canadian working people in all their diversity to mobilize in the streets, organize in their workplaces and in their schools, and bring all their collective power to bear on elected officials at all levels and push for real change”

We need to immediately remove the (Un)Fair Elections Act that only strives to make voting and democratic accountability of the election process more difficult.
